Lessons

Depending on how quickly you want to proceed through the course Delta can offer 1 hour, 1 1/2 hour or 2 hour lessons. However, experience has shown that you retain more information and learn more if you receive at least 90 minutes of instruction at a time. If you learn more you take less time and less time equals less money spent. Most students prefer to have a two-hour lesson once a week but the choice is yours.

Pupils can be collected from home, school, college or the workplace and dropped off wherever convenient. All instruction is one-to-one so there will be nobody looking over your shoulder.

 Over a course of lessons you will develop skills in areas such as:

  • Use of controls
  • Starting and stopping
  • The emergency stop
  • Dealing with basic junctions
  • Crossroads hills and roundabouts
  • Town centre and rural driving
  • Progressive driving
  • Dual carriageways & fast driving
  • Manoeuvres: straight line reversing, reserving to the left, turn in the road, reverse bay parking, reverse parallel parking.

Mock Driving tests are carried out to assess your ability and to make sure you are ready for the real thing.
